Visit Rembrandt

Arrival

The museum is located in Leipzig's city center (in the inner city ring road). The S-Bahn station Markt with stops for all regional S-Bahn lines is in the immediate vicinity, and the Main Station is only a few minutes' walk away. Most Leipzig streetcar lines stop at the surrounding stops Goerdelerring, Main Station and Augustusplatz.

We recommend traveling by public transport, but if necessary you can park in the following parking garages near the museum:

Parking garage Höfe am Brühl: Am Hallischen Tor 2, 04109 Leipzig
Augustusplatz parking garage: Augustusplatz 15, 04109 Leipzig
Parking garage Marktgalerie: Thomaskirchhof 18, 04109 Leipzig

There are two free disabled parking spaces in front of the main entrance to the museum in Katharinenstraße for holders of a corresponding permit.

Please note: Leipzig is a declared environmental zone - driving here is only permitted with a green sticker.

For coaches: Parking for coaches is not permitted within the inner city ring road. There are bus parking spaces at the east side of the main station (access via Brandenburger Straße). We recommend the bus stops in Goethestraße for passengers getting on and off. If absolutely necessary, buses can also stop at the entrances to the museum (Brühl, Katharinenstraße, Reichsstraße, Böttchergässchen), but we would like to expressly point out the lack of maneuvering space for large vehicles within the inner city ring road.
