To mark the 20th anniversary of the opening of the new museum building, the extensively illustrated and accessible volume “MdbK Architektur. Das Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig” conveys the historical context and the design vision of the building. In a handy magazine format, the book describes the overall architectural concept and its implementation as well as the predecessor buildings and interim locations and provides an insight into the museum's educational and research work.
“MdbK Architecture. Das Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig” will be published on December 6, 2024 by Verlag E. A. Seemann, edited by the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig, Stefan Weppelmann and Katrin Klietsch. The English-language edition will be published at the same time under the title “MdbK Architecture. The Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig”.
